Dan Ranshu 団藍舟

団藍舟 Dan Ranshu (1872-1935)
Japanese-style painter active in the Taisho period. Born in Tokushima Prefecture. Studied under Tada Rankou and Yoshinaga Rankei, both painters living in Tokushima, and later under Kawabata Gyokusho. After the end of the Meiji period, he exhibited his works at many exhibitions and won many awards. After 1910, he taught at the Kawabata School of Painting and later became its advisor.
