Fudo Ritsuzan 不動立山

Fudō Ritsuzan 不動立山 (1886-1975)
Japanese painter of the Meiji and Showa periods. Ritsuzan was born on Awaji Island and studied under Nishiyama Suisho. He exhibited at the Teiten and Bunten exhibitions and left behind gentle, lyrical works, specializing in delicate landscapes that captured the changing seasons and nature. He painted with a modern sensibility in a Kyoto-like style.
