Fukuda Hanko 福田半香
福田半香 Fukuda Hanko (1804-1864)
Japanese nanga painter of the late Edo period. His name was Kitsu, his characters were Kichito, and he was known as Kyozaburo. His first name was Banko, Hankou was a later name he gave to himself, and his other name was Gyomu.
He first studied under Magata Tairei and later under Watanabe Kazan. He was a disciple of Watanabe Kazan and one of Kazan's ten philosophers.
