Haruki Nanko 春木南湖

春木南湖 Haruki Nanko (1759-1839)
Literary painter of the mid- to late-Edo period.
Studied under Kimura Kenkado and later in Nagasaki under a Qing (Chinese) painter. He excelled at landscape and flower-and-bird paintings. He also excelled in poetry. His eldest son was Hanruki Nanmei.
