Ikari Nanrei 碇南嶺
碇南嶺 Ikari Nanrei (b1901)
A Japanese-style painter from Osaka who was active during the Showa era. His given name was Goro. He studied under Akamatsu Unrei and mastered Nanshu painting (Nanga). He served as a director of the Nihon Nanga-in and was a member of the Nanrin-sha group. He is known for his hanging scroll works for celebratory occasions, such as landscapes and depictions of Takasago.
