池田桂仙 Ikeda Keisen (1863-1931)
Japanese painter of the Meiji and early Showa periods. Born in Mie Prefecture. His father was Ikeda Unsho.
Studied poetry and painting under Tani Tetsuomi and Ema Tenko in Kyoto. Won many prizes at the Bunten Exhibition. He is called the "Three Great Elders of the Southern Painting School in Kyoto" with Tajika Chikuson and Yamada Kaido.
