石井柏亭 Ishii Hakutei (1882-1958)
A Western-style painter active from the Meiji through the Showa periods. He created a wide range of works—including oil paintings, watercolors, prints, and Japanese-style paintings—and made significant contributions to the development of modern Japanese art.
