Ishii Kinryo 石井金陵
石井金陵 Ishii Kinryo (1842-1926)
Japanese painter of the Meiji and Taisho periods. Born in Okayama. Studied under 古市金峨 Furuichi Kinga (1805-1880) and 岡本秋暉 Okamoto Shuki (1807-1862). After visiting various places, he returned to his hometown Okayama and taught his many students. Moved to Osaka in 1903 and became an elder person in the Osaka literati painting circles.
