Kano Kyuen kiyonobu 狩野休円清信

狩野休円清信 Kano Kyuen kiyonobu (1627-1703)
Born in the 4th year of Kan'ei Era. His first name is Kiyonobu. He was the younger brother of Kano Kyuhaku Masanobu of the Okachimachi family, the shogunate's official painter, and the third son of Kano Kyuhaku Naganobu. He produced a folding screen for the Korean envoy to Japan in the first year of Meireki and participated in the reconstruction of the Honmaru Palace of Edo Castle in the third year of Meireki. He lived in the Kobikicho mansion, which was given to him by the shogunate.
