Morikawa Sobun 森川曽文

森川曽文 Morikawa Sobun (1847-1902)
Born in Kyoto. At first, he studied under Maekawa Gorei, and later studied under Hasegawa Gyokuho. Received awards at national industrial exhibitions, painting exhibitions, and overseas exhibitions. He inherited the orthodoxy of the Shijo school and specialized in landscapes, flowers, and birds.
