Muramatsu Ungai 邨松雲外

邨松雲外 Muramatsu Ungai (1870-1938)
Born in Shiga Prefecture in 1898, he went to Kyoto at the age of 20 to study painting under Mori Kansai of the Maruyama School and calligraphy under Toyama Rozan. In 1897, he was awarded the second prize at the Seventh Annual Exhibition of Painting. He exhibited his works at the Paris Exposition in 1900.
