Nakamura Batei 中村梅庭

中村梅庭 Nakamura Batei (1910-1991)
Born in Aichi Prefecture. Studied painting under Mouri Baiyu and admired Yamamoto Baiitsu. Specialised in landscapes, flowers and birds, and after being selected for the Nihon Nanga-in (Japan Southern Painting Academy), he worked as an independent artist. Served as president of the Seiseikai and Chikueikai.
