大原呑舟 Ohara Donshu (1792-1858)
Son of the painter Ohara Donkyo. He studied under 柴田義董 Shibata Gito of the Shijo School in Kyoto, and excelled at Sansui landscapes and figure painting. Succeeded his father in establishing the Ohara school. His painting style was strong, relaxed, and free.
