Oka Minzan 岡岷山
岡岷山 Oka Minzan (1734-1806)
He was an official painter for the Hiroshima Domain during the mid-Edo period. Having mastered the intricate, realistic painting techniques introduced from China (the Nanpin school), he produced numerous works depicting the nature, landscapes, flora, and fauna of Hiroshima, as well as scenic views of various regions and illustrated diary scrolls.
