Okada Kinko 岡田琴湖

岡田琴湖 Okada Kinko (1862-1945)
Born in Akita Prefecture in 1869 (Bunkyu 2), studied painting under the painter Toyoshima Tozan in Hiyama, Noshiro at the age of 10. Studied under Hirafuku Suian in 1881. From 1892, he spent his entire life making the rounds from Hokkaido to Kyushu, continental China and the Korean peninsula before returning to Akita. For this reason, he is known as a painter of drifters.
