Onozawa Kankai 小野澤寛海
小野澤寛海 Onozawa Kankai (b1934-)
Onozawa Kankai was a Rinzai Zen monk active from the Shōwa era through the Reiwa era. He took monastic vows in 1951 (Shōwa 26) under Fukutomi Isei at Kōtoku-ji Temple. He served as the 529th head priest (the highest-ranking abbot) of Daitoku-ji, the head temple of the Rinzai school located in Murasaki-no, Kyoto, and also served as the abbot of Jukō-in, a sub-temple of Daitoku-ji known as the family temple of Sen no Rikyū.
