Literal meaning of 無事 BUJI is be safe and be peace, 吉祥 KISSHO means happy things, prosperity. In short, a state that nothing happens is the state to appear prosperity. This words tells us the importance to keep honest mind to bring prosperity

The calligraphy Buji Kore Kisshō is written with broad, assured strokes by Kobayashi Taigen (b.1938), chief priest of Daitoku‑ji Obai‑in; expressing the Zen teaching that true auspiciousness lies in a state of untroubled honesty and peaceful mind, the work bears the signature “Daitokuji Obai Taigen” along with the seals “Obai” and “Taigen,” and is preserved with its original tomobako.
