Ishikawa Chikuson 石川竹邨

石川竹邨 Ishikawa Chikuson (1884-1952)
Born in Tokyo in 1884. Studied under Matsumoto Fuko and later Suzuki Kason. After the Great Kanto Earthquake, he moved to Nagoya and became active. His subjects included flower-and-bird paintings and animal paintings, and he was especially good at “carp” and “raccoon dog” paintings.
