Ishikawa Yurin 石河有麟
石河有麟 Ishikawa Yurin (1870-1952)
Japanese-style painter of the Meiji and Showa periods. Born in Aichi Prefecture. Born as the third son of Ishiko Motoki, a vassal of the Owari Clan. He studied Tosa school under Sonoda Tadahiko, Western painting under Maeda Masatada, and Namboku Gappa school under Oda Kyosai. He developed a lofty style of painting, specializing most in flower-and-bird and landscape paintings.
