Takiwaki Seika 瀧脇晴華

瀧脇晴華 Takiwaki Seika (1896-1949)
Born in Yotsuya, Tokyo. At the age of 13, he became the last pupil of Okuhara Seiko. He attended Kumagaya Junior High School from Seiko's house and trained in painting at night. After Seiko's death, he studied under Seiran, and after Seiran's death, he lived in Koishikawa, Tokyo, and devoted himself to painting. He specialised in landscape painting. An ema (votive tablet) of 'Ise Jingu' 1917 (Taisho 6) is dedicated to him at Izanagi Shrine. He died on 27 December 1949 at the age of 54.
