国井幸雪 Kunii Kosetsu (b1919)
Born in Gifu Prefecture. His real name is 増太郎 Masutaro. Studied under 坪内節太郎 Tsubouchi Setsutaro (1905-1979). Specializes in Buddhist paintings and flower-and-bird paintings. Studied poetry and painting under Tani Tetsuomi and Ema Tenko in Kyoto. Won many prizes at the Bunten Exhibition. He is called the "Three Great Elders of the Southern Painting School in Kyoto" with Tajika Chikuson and Yamada Kaido.
