日 means sun 出 means rise 乾坤 means heaven, earth, and universe 輝 means to shine. In short, the first sunrise of the new year cleans the dark of the last year, and heaven and earth shine by the light. This is a Buddhist Zen word, in other words, people sometimes lose their way but if you believe sun of mind, it will clean the dark of your mind and let you move to the bright side.
