This pair of Japanese hanging scrolls, signed “Hōgen Baisen” (法眼梅僊) and sealed “Baisen” (梅僊), presents a refined and auspicious composition featuring a crane and a turtle—symbols of longevity and harmony—set among pine trees and seasonal foliage. The left scroll depicts a turtle resting on a rocky surface, while the right shows a crane standing gracefully among bamboo, both rendered in delicate ink with subtle tonal variation.
