Japanese painter active in the Meiji era. Born in Kyoto. Studied under Takeuchi Seiho. Real name was Hashimoto Shinnosuke. Graduated from Kyoto Art School. Called "Hakubi" (exceptionally outstanding) among the young artists of Kyoto.
