佐々木晨二 Sasaki Shinji (b1952)
Born in Gifu Prefecture in 1952. Completed Tajimi Industrial Ceramics Course in 1971. Studied under his father, an intangible cultural asset of Gifu Prefecture in 1974. Studied in France (Moustiers, Barolis, Nice, Paris) and In West Germany (Bonn, Cologne, Königsbinter), Trained in ceramics and fine arts in 1979. Focused on Seto glaze, Oribe, and Shino ceramics.
