日々是好日 Nichinichi Kore Konichi
日々是好日 means that every day is a good day or try to spend every day meaningfully. This is Zen word, there are hard days or easy days in life. Enjoy each day itself, it's the life.

山田無文 Yamada Mumon (1900-1988)
Yamada Mumon was a Rinzai school roshi, calligrapher, and former abbot of Shofuku-ji in Kobe, Japan. Mumon was also the former head of the Myoshin-ji branch of the Rinzai school of Japan. His most prominent student (and Dharma heir) is Harada Shodo of Sogen-ji, an influential master in both Japan and the United States.

A powerful single-line calligraphy (ichigyōsho) by Yamada Mumon, a renowned Rinzai Zen master and calligrapher of the 20th century. His works are celebrated for their spiritual depth, expressive brushwork, and embodiment of Zen philosophy. The inscription reads 「日々是好日」(Nichinichi Kore Kōnichi), meaning “Every day is a good day.” This classic Zen phrase invites reflection on mindfulness, acceptance, and the inherent beauty of each moment, regardless of circumstance. Executed in bold, spontaneous strokes, the calligraphy conveys both strength and serenity. The scroll is mounted in traditional format and includes the original tomobako (signed wooden box), confirming authenticity and enhancing its value for collectors. An inspiring piece for admirers of Zen art, Japanese calligraphy, and philosophical aesthetics.
