The 67th chief abbot of Kominato Tanjo-ji Temple, "Imai Nichiyu Shonin" (also known as Kenmyo'in Nichiyu), entered Tanjo-ji Temple in 1911 (Meiji 44). As one of the prominent high-ranking priests representing the Taisho period, he dedicated himself to propagating the teachings across various regions and developing the temple grounds in preparation for the "700th Anniversary of the Birth of Nichiren Shonin."
