松永天章 Matsunaga Tensho (1879-1945)
A Japanese-style painter from Gifu Prefecture. He initially studied the Shijo school under Kawamura Mitsubumi, and after moving to Tokyo, he studied the painting techniques of the Maruyama school under Kawabata Gyokusho. He excelled at depicting lively carp with skillful brushwork and was widely known as the "Painter of Carp."
