Horie Shunsai 堀江春斎

堀江春斎 Horie Shunsai (b1900)
Japanese painter of the Showa era. Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1900. Graduated from Kyoto College of Painting. Studied under Yamamoto Shunkyo. Received awards at the Teiten, Bunten, and Nitten exhibitions. Specialized in landscapes, flowers and birds.
