Konoshima Okoku 木島櫻谷
木島櫻谷 Konoshima Okoku (1877-1938)
Japanese painter of the Shijo School, active from the Meiji period to the early Showa period. Born in Kyoto. Studied under Imao Keinen. Professor at Kyoto Municipal College of Painting. He was called "The last of the Shijo School" for his skillful sketching and emotional style, which were inherited from the Shijo School tradition.
