Satake Eiko 佐竹永湖

佐竹永湖 Satake Eiko (1836-1909)
Painter of the late Edo and Meiji periods. Born in Edo. Studied the Tosa and Kano schools under Oki Ichiga, a painter of the Tottori domain. He later became the adopted son of Satake Eikai. He was a member of the jury of the Japan Painting Association.
