Born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Japanese painter. Real name: Kiyoshi. Studied under Watanabe Ikuharu, Nakamura Gakuryo and others. Active in the Inten and Nitten exhibitions. Awarded Nitten Special Prize and Nitten Hakusyu Prize. Awarded the Japan Art Academy Prize and the Minister of Education Prize. Member of the Nitten jury. Japanese painter who left many paintings of beautiful women, especially those on the theme of maiko.
