is a contemporary Kyoto-based ceramic artist working in the tradition of Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware, also known as Kiyomizu-yaki). He established his kiln near Tōfuku-ji Temple and has devoted his career to the creation of tea utensils, including matcha bowls, incense containers, and other implements for the tea ceremony.
